The first print issue of Shoots and Vines is out on Open Book. I have a photograph on the cover and also a micro fiction piece, Deus Ex Machina, on page 5. I have ten photographs in Brevity: A Journal of Concise Literary Nonfiction . This was an interesting project for me because the editor requested that my photos would not "illustrate" the individual essays and if a connection between them did emerge that it would be an instinctual or transitory one. My story, Traveling Lightheaded , has been translated into Portuguese by Beto Palaio for Littera Tour . I am excited and honored by this lovely opportunity and there have already been some warm compliments from some Brazilians. The translation includes the English as well.
